On April 13 2016, our year-3 and final year students from EIS specialization along with Wilson Ho went for the industry visit to a leading Telecom company in Macao.

In order to enrich students knowledge in the field of enterprise information systems, the manager of IT Infrastructure of CTM, talked in detail with regards to the company’s IT organizational structure, as well as a range of high efficient IT operating system and facilities which include Green Data Center, Storage Area Network (SAN) Convergent System and its benefits to both enterprises and customers.

After that, the students were led to tour at the current largest IT Data Center amongst the industry at CTM, where Toby Ng, the senior manager of IT Infrastructure of CTM explained further about the data storage capacity and efficiency of SAN, as well as adoption of various green protection features in the data center, providing the students with a better understanding on IT system architecture and management. The visit was very informative and useful.
