With the aim to strengthen collaboration in Higher Education between Europe and South East Asia, as well as the cooperation between Macao Polytechnic Institute and the University of Coimbra(Portugal) in teaching, study, academic mobility, research and development, our Institute invited Professor Jaime Carvalho e Silva, Professor Licínio Gomes Roque and Professor António José Nunes Mendes to visit MPI. They visited MPI on January 13th receiving a warm welcome from Professor Im Sio Kei, Director of ESAP.
They appreciated that the Computing Programme has successfully achieved higher education academic accreditation granted by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). Jaime Carvalho e Silva is Professor of Mathematics at University of Coimbra and is a former Secretary General of International Commission on Mathematical Instruction (ICMI). Apart from inspecting the software and hardware of our Computing Programme, Professor Jaime Carvalho e Silva presented a seminar to our computing students on 15/1/2016.
